America is a country that was built on equality. However, this is not the case in many situations. Education is one incredible example of this. Although many students living in the suburbs are gifted with great opportunities in education. Our neighbors in the city aren't nearly as fortunate. This accounts for statistics such as only 73% of CPS students graduating high school. However, 86% of these students come from low income backgrounds. Not only can they not afford college, but they also must begin working early to help support their families.
The Sid Feldman Legacy Fund aims to inspire low income students to pursue further education. Every year, the scholarship is awarded to two disadvantaged CPS students. However, we need your help in order to make a difference. By donating, you will not only be helping an in need student, but will also be creating a better society for the future.
