Who are we?
We are the DePaul Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), a pre-professional student organization dedicated to enhancing students’ education, broadening their networks, and launching meaningful careers in the PR and communications fields. Our chapter recently earned PRSSA's top national award when we were named the 2023 Outstanding PRSSA Chapter.
What is Beyond the Skyline?
On February 20th and 21st, DePaul PRSSA is hosting the 2025 Midwest District Conference, Beyond the Skyline. Beyond the Skyline is a two-day PRSSA regional conference that brings top PR students from universities throughout the Midwest (and further) to Chicago, voted the best big city for the eighth year in a row and a PR industry hub.
Attendees will explore the public relations industry in Chicago and beyond, learning from local experts and global leaders during site visits and workshops. There will be a deep dive into winning campaigns along with comprehensive, in-depth insights into the profession. Last year's conference connected Chicago PR firms and teams with more than 140 motivated and talented students who were eager to learn about the opportunities in Chicago. DePaul PRSSA's Midwest Conference is nationally recognized, having been named the Outstanding District Conference three times in the past 6 years.
What will my donation be used for?
Proceeds of this campaign will go towards conference expenses to help provide a truly memorable Chicago experience for attendees. Hosting a district conference is our chapter's main fundraiser of the year. Anything raised after expenses are met is used to provide year-round programming and community-building events, fund student travel to national conventions, bring in non-local speakers and make sure PRSSA is accessible to all students who want to join. Your donations will help us keep Beyond the Skyline costs down for attendees while still providing a priceless career development experience. How will donors be recognized?
We love our donors! All donors’ names will be listed on our Donor Wall, in the conference program, and on our conference website (with company logos). In addition:

Your gift will support general conference expenses. For example, each donation at this amount could cover a Ventra pass for an out-of-town attendee! “The Bean” donors will be honored on our conference program and website.
Your gift will support general conference expenses and add some goodies to the conference bags! The Magnificent Mile donors will be honored on our conference program and website.
Your gift will support venue costs and conference merchandise. The Buckingham Fountain donors will be honored on our conference program and website.
Your gift will support enhancing the student experience by providing Ventra passes for 25 attendees. Donors of this level will be honored on signage and promotional materials throughout the event.
Your gift will provide snacks and beverages during the conference. Donors of this level will be honored on signage and promotional materials throughout the event.
