Our Crowdfunding Groups
The Basic Needs Hub fills a gap in our students’ lives that they cannot bridge with traditional financial aid. Here, students have access to things like career clothing, basic linens, and food, including shelf-stable, refrigerated and frozen items. This year we have received several requests for winter clothing like coats and boots. We also have some toiletries available, and those go very quickly.
Last year, we served nearly 400 students through the Basic Needs Hub. We expect that to increase this year as we add a location on the Loop campus and increase our visibility through social media and event attendance. With the support of generous donors, like you, we would love to expand our offerings in the future. That would include providing even more toiletries, basic kitchen supplies like pots, pans, plates and silverware, school supplies and even rideshare gift cards to ensure transportation to doctor or therapy appointments.
