One of Ignite Dance Company's biggest values is financial accessibility for our dancers. As the competitive dance group at DePaul University, there are a lot of large costs associated with traveling, dancing, and performing.
Some of our costs include, but are not limited to:
- Renting a performance venue for our yearly showcase
- Dance classes
- Competition fees
- Hotel fees
- Travel costs
- Costumes
- Hiring photographers and videographers
- Merchandise
- First aid kits
- Snacks and meals for dancers
Ignite uses our best efforts between Club Sports allocations, yearly membership dues, and quarterly fundraising. However, dancers are still often paying out-of-pocket expenses on top of their dues for costumes, merch, food, and even travel costs.
Your donation ensures that one's financial barrier is not the reason they cannot dance. Ignite Dance Company's practices and rehearsals are a safe space for dancers to escape the stressors of their day-to-day lives... not add to it.
