BLSA Financial Assistance Fund

DePaul's Black Law Student Association ("BLSA") proudly supports its student members and the DePaul Law community, at large, by fostering academic and professional excellence through culturally relevant programming, educational workshops, and community service opportunities.

Only 5% of lawyers are Black. This year, we hope to further our commitment to DePaul's Black law student population by providing scholarships to support our members in their academic journey towards increasing the 5%. We hope to award 3-5 scholarships to students who have shown a commitment to the DePaul Law community. These funds will help students finance costs associated with their legal and professional expenses such as, bar exam and bar course fees, book costs, and more!

Scholarship recipients will be announced at BLSA's Black History Month Reception in February.

Last year we had a very successful campaign where we raised $4,100. We would like to meet or exceed our goal of $5,000. this year.

Please consider supporting DePaul's BLSA chapter as we continue to support our incredible attorneys-in-the-making!
