DePaul's chapter of SACNAS (Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in STEM) is trying to fund as many people as possible to attend the SACNAS National Diversity in STEM conference in Hawaii from Oct 31st to November 2nd, 2019. This conference is an incredible opportunity for networking, learning new skills, and connecting with future employers. With promoting diversity in STEM, students have the opportunity to present research and engage with the scientific community on a greater scale than through our local conferences. It's an amazing experience for all who attend to celebrate culture and learn new things; however this year, we will not have as much funding as we have had in the past. Consequently, we're asking for your help to try to fund students' costs of attending, travel, and hotels. SACNAS National Conference focuses on students from underserved and underrepresented minorities in STEM by hosting talks and panels on current advancements an many different scientific fields, providing career development workshops, and creating a safe environment for students to network with their peers and also professionals in their field. Every donation will help advance the career of a DePaul student and a future scientist.

This package allows us to give a student a meal at the conference. Dinner is one of the biggest networking locations and this allows all of our students to be at the table!
