These are extraordinary times, but they are no match for our extraordinary community. Your support of the Vincentian Assistance Fund means the world to all of us. Here is what we have accomplished with your help:

• Since March 16, we have awarded $132,894.75 dollars to 129 members of the DePaul community through the VAF
• Of the 129 awards, 126 were students (97.6%), 2 were faculty (1.6%), and 1 was staff (0.8%)
• The average award is just over $1,000 ($1,030.19)

In the weeks since COVID-19 upended our lives, we have been so touched by the generosity of our alumni and friends who have come together in support of people in need in the DePaul community. Thank you for contributing to the Vincentian Assistance Fund, which supports members of the DePaul community, including faculty and staff whose lives have been impacted by this pandemic.  

A typical year would see approximately 20 requests for support from this fund. Due to the extraordinary hardships being faced by so many, we have received that many requests for help in just the last three weeks. Because of you, we have granted over $10,000 in support to members of our community who otherwise may have had nowhere else to turn.  

Thank you for your kindness and your generosity! You are an example of the Vincentian spirit in action. Together, we are DePaul.
