The Black Cultural Center offers a suite of programs and services that provide culturally relevant opportunities to participate, connect, learn and center the experiences of Black communities at DePaul. Created with the purpose of contributing to personal and academic success, the Black Cultural Center promotes cultural awareness and provides a venue for all students, faculty and staff to learn about Black culture, heritage and traditions.
With your support, we hope to offer the following to our students:
Peer to peer writing and academic tutors in the BCC to help our students excel academically, while the peer tutors learn valuable leadership skills.
Partitions to modulate the space in the Center, allowing us to use the space simultaneously for learning and socializing. This would help us to reimagine the space according to our needs.
Additional technology to increase the effectiveness of our space, making it a place our students can use for study, leisure, and staying connected.
