Support Tomorrow's Rising Stars (ST*RS) is a collective of graduating BFA and MFA students from all departments within The Theatre School at DePaul University, who are seeking to establish a foundation for our transition out of school and our launch into our artistic careers. Typically, each spring the graduating class is given the opportunity to showcase their talents to theatre professionals (i.e. talent agents, casting directors, artistic directors, technical directors, networking festivals, etc.) in New York, Los Angeles, and right at home in Chicago. Due to COVID-19, we did not travel this spring, and are instead offering up digital alternatives to anyone open to engaging as we share our gifts. When available, the Acting showcase will be up here. In the meantime, feel free to follow @theatreschooldepaul and @ttsstrs2021 on Instagram for updates on our graduating students.
Funds raised by ST*RS are used to offset the costs of headshots, portfolios, travel expenses, personal equipment, database memberships, and anything else that might be needed to jump-start a career in the theatre. By donating to ST*RS, you will be supporting and enabling a group of individuals who are setting out to cultivate new artistic and theatrical communities across the globe as we strive to gain some footing in an extremely uncertain professional landscape, only exacerbated by the public health crisis.
We thank you for your consideration, and for your support of tomorrow’s rising stars! Stay safe and breathe easy!
