This film tells the story of how sound becomes noise, and how in a noisy world we can still find opportunities for restorative avoesis. It will explore the negative effects of urban noise pollution on the most vulnerable in our society. This is the culmination of a 2-year research project by graduate student Mykhailo Bogdanov, working with his faculty advisor Liam Heneghan. DePaul University recognized and supported Mykhailo’s films by awarding him the First Place Vinny Prize in 2019 for Public Action to Deliver Shelter short documentary. He has also been nominated for the Best Cinematography Award in 2021 for What God Wants short documentary at the DePaul Premiere Film Festival.
