The Theatre School prepares students for careers in every discipline of professional theatre, emphasizing a learning-by-doing approach, through intensive training programs taught by expert faculty and staff who are working professionals in the dramatic arts.
All Theatre School students receive a scholarship, which helps us recruit and train students from diverse backgrounds, which in turn cultivates artists who represent and transform the community at large.
Scholarships help reduce the burden of student loan debt, making it more likely that our alums will be able to focus on the early building blocks of their artistic careers instead of having to divert their energy to day jobs. We know that a career in the arts can be sustainable, but long-term success in the arts builds on lower paying gigs at the start.
