Fifty years ago, thirty-seven words changed the world forever. These words as we know them make up Title IX, a federal law paving the way for civil rights in the US. Title IX was felt on the playing field, in classroom, and in the work force as it impacted the number of opportunities for women in sports today. This year DePaul celebrates this remarkable change which has since built a foundation for the last 50 years of women’s athletics. As one of the earliest universities to invest in athletic opportunities to women, DePaul has always appreciated the role that athletics plays in developing students into leaders. As we conclude a year of recognizing the important impact that Title IX has had in increasing the opportunities for women in sports, we invite you to make a gift to continue to empower the student-athletes of tomorrow through your financial support.
Your gift will bolster women’s Athletics by providing a foundation for women’s athletics at DePaul for years to come.
