DePaul Black Law Student Financial Assistance Fund

DePaul's Black Law Student Association ("BLSA") proudly supports its student members and the DePaul Law community, at large, by fostering academic and professional excellence through culturally relevant programming, educational workshops, and community service opportunities.

Over the past two years, DePaul's BLSA chapter has hosted events focused on job preparedness, philanthropy, bar exam success, networking, and panel discussions about diversity in the legal field. DePaul's BLSA also sponsors a mentoring program to connect it's first-year students to second and third-year students to support the creation of personal and mutually beneficial relationships between its member base. Through these numerous initiatives, BLSA has consistently prepared our student members to go into the legal field and make a difference in their communities!

This year, we hope to take our commitment to DePaul's black law student population a step further by creating a fund to support students in their academic journey. We hope to award 1-2 grants to students who have shown a commitment to the DePaul Law community and academic/professional excellence. These funds will help students finance costs associated with their legal and professional expenses such as, bar exam and bar course fees, book costs, professional attire costs, and more!

Please consider supporting DePaul's BLSA chapter as we continue to support our incredible attorneys-in-the-making!
