Our Crowdfunding Groups
Blue Demon Theatre (BDT) is a student organization with a mission to inspire DePaul University students from all walks of life to be active theatre makers. Our events include trivia nights, cabaret performances, guest speakers, playwriting opportunities, original works, 10-minute play performances, play productions, and musical productions. We believe in creating an environment for actors, directors, playwrights, stage managers, singers, musicians, dancers, makeup artists, prop masters, costume designers, light designers, set designers, sound designers, and many other artists to practice their craft. Theatre is an art form that requires the collaboration of a multitude of artists. It is through this collaboration that a strong sense of community is formed.
As a student theatre organization, BDT relies on donations to help provide theatre opportunities to all majors at DePaul. The spring quarter of our 2022-2023 season will include two productions: Macbeth by William Shakespeare and Spring Awakening the musical that will be performed and produced by DePaul students at local theatres in Chicago. These productions will require funding for facility rental fees, performance rights, licensing fees, costumes, accessories, set pieces, and props.
Your monetary contribution would be greatly appreciated to provide a high-quality performance from our artists and will support our vision of actively producing theatre work that is creative, inspiring, and inclusive.
All donors, no matter what amount is donated, will be listed on the Blue Demon Theatre website and playbills that we print out for each performance. Donors may also choose to remain anonymous. For gifts of the following amounts, we will honor your gift with a printed acknowledgment of your support in the playbill:
