Hello, we are the staff of DePaul’s award-winning 14 East Magazine. Thanks for visiting our page! We are student journalists that publish longform stories every week on our website http://fourteeneastmag.com/. Any student can contribute stories, art, video, photography and other content to our multimedia magazine. In our reporting, we strive for inclusivity and transparency with our readers and writers.
Our goal for this campaign is to fundraise to sustain our organization. We have several big events in Spring Quarter and donating to our campaign will help us keep our traditions going. While we publish online every week, at the end of every year, we publish a physical anthology of our work. We also host 14 East Live, an event where we read our stories aloud. Your contributions will allow us to publish and celebrate our work!
Last year, 14 East won a national journalism award, a Pacemaker for top collegiate online site presented by the Associated Collegiate Press. In 2020, 14 East received the Pinnacle Award from the College Media Association for the best four-year college media outlet of the year. 14 East is also celebrating three years of our bilingual Spanish publication, Pueblo, and three years of our weekly newsletter, ‘In the Loop.'
