This year marks the 20th year of the Illinois Latino Law Student Forum, hosted by the Latino Law Student Association, where high school students, college students, and recent graduates can participate in an all-day FREE program designed to introduce and immerse Latino students into the legal field. DePaul University College of Law has the honor of hosting the 20th annual forum and we want to continue the legacy of this event!
For many years, Illinois attorneys and judges, along with DePaul law professors and students, have participated in discussion panels and mentoring opportunities for forum participants. The schedule for the day also includes a national college and law school fair.
As this event is free, we are asking YOU to help us raise funds so that we may continue to host this event free of charge for forum participants. The money raised would be used to pay for the event expenses as well as other materials participants use throughout the day. According to a 2020 ABA study, "5% of all lawyers are Hispanic... although the U.S. population is 18.5% Hispanic." This is YOUR opportunity to help us fix this disparity! This is YOUR opportunity to help us expose more of the Latino community to the legal field!
Thank you for your investment and support.
