The namesake of our scholarship is Dr. David Drehmer who was a professor in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship here at DePaul for over forty years. He taught his students such strengths as creativity and self-awareness and believed that success was not about living up to expectations, but a possibility to live into.
In his name, we are raising funds to help individuals who have been saddled with disparate burdens from their peers. Our goal is to provide these most extraordinary individuals who have faced adversity and overcome it with the opportunity to obtain advanced degrees.
Our recipients will go on to become professionals with the resources and the knowledge to better their entire communities in turn.
