The David E. Drehmer Impact Scholarship was founded on the values of David E. Drehmer, a professor who had taught for over 40 years at Depaul in both the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship.
Dr. Drehmer taught his students how they could remove barriers for themselves through their creativity and self-awareness so that they would be able to realize their passions in life.
Dr. Drehmer also recognized that not all students come from the same background and are provided the same opportunities in life, which for those less fortunate, makes financing school and realizing their passions all the more difficult.
Thus this scholarship aims to provide financial assistance and recognition for graduate students of good standing, within the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
Many students have already become recipients of this scholarship, providing an opportunity that they might not have received otherwise. We hope that this scholarship fund will be able to support those in need and provide the financial freedom for students to pursue their passions and utilize their creativity just as Dr. Drehmer taught.
