Our Crowdfunding Groups
Ignite Dance Company is the competitive dance group through DePaul University's Club Sports department. We attend competitions and classes throughout the Chicagoland area and Midwest region, as well as hosting an end-of-the-year showcase.
Our company has 20-25 members that comprise 4 teams:
Our mission is to embody confidence inside and out. Our values include human connection, creative expression, inclusivity, and accessibility. Ignite is proud to have dancers of all backgrounds and styles for dance. Financial accessibility is one of our values; financial barriers should never be a reason someone cannot dance.
We are fundraising to mitigate financial hardships during one's undergraduate experience that limit them of their creative expression. As the competitive dance group on campus, there are a lot of fees associated with traveling, dancing, and competing. Dancers often pay out-of-pocket expenses on top of their yearly dues. Your donation would be much appreciated in giving back to our dancers, ensuring they continue to cultivate a safe space through dance.
This donation will cover the cost of one member's food costs when we are traveling for competitions.
This donation will cover the train/Amtrak ticket of one dancer.
This donation will cover the cost of one member attending a pop-up dance class at one of the Chicago dance studios (ex: Joffrey, Visceral, Puzzle Box)
Members are required to purchase one piece of merchandise- this donation will cover that cost for one dancer.
This donation will cover the cost of one hotel room during competitions (approx. 4-5 dancers per night).
